Long long ago
I left her alone
In a dark room
She screamed
Longed for warmth
And sparks of light
Yet, I locked her there
As I tried to find my way
Somewhere over the sun
And beyond the stars
I spread my wings
Ready to soar
And roar my heart out
I thought I would
Never run out of fuel
Yet, I fell
One inch away from earth
"What's wrong?"
I said
"Take me with you,"
She said
"I can't. You weight my way up,"
I argued
"I'm more than wings and wind you need to fly."
She answered
"How come?"
I asked
"Your loved ones grew me long before you knew me."
She smiled
"Why?"
"Because I will keep that fire fuels your way up.
I will dance with you when everyone else ignore you.
And I will hold you and remind you of how good life is.
You will survive."
